Cambacica - Bird
This is my latest oil painting. 12"x16" on Gessoed board.
Reference photo by Flavio Cruvinel Brandao.
I love painting on smooth surfaces. The painting turned out ok.
I keep telling myself that I need to start doing "daily paintings"...I haven't started yet... :(

Hummingbird - water mixable oils

I have started studying water mixable oils.
s l o w l y :)
It feels a bit different than regular oil paints. Here is a painting I did from a reference photo taken by a gentleman in Brazil named Flavio Cruvinel Brandao. http://www.flickr.com/photos/flaviocb/
The Hummingbird here is called Swallow Tailed and it's suppose to be the "largest" hummingbird around.

Misty
This is a painting I did of my cat Misty. She is one of those dreamy cats, pretty, well behaved and sweet as cotton candy. This painting got an award at the Irving Art Association "Unconditional Love" Pet Art show 2010.
Yay Misty!!!

Yellow Bowl with Cherries

Two type cherries. I enjoyed painting this one. I love painting cherries...fruits in general, but cherries are my favorite.
